Imsai Arasan 23m Pulikesi

Imsai Arasan is one among the gems on the crown of Vadivelu. Vadivelu has done a great job in his standalone movie. The lead characters are tailor-made for Vadivelu.

Simbudevan, has had a wonderful vision of the movie. The screenplay moves swiftly but with some loopholes in it.

The movie started off well. Pulikesi and Ukraputhan, two characters were performed extraordinarily by Vadivelu. Pulikesi turned out to be a real comic king, whereas Ukraputhan is quite intelligent which we can see through his matured and serious facial reactions. Vadivelu's facial expressions made us understand what character is on screen. Nassar did a great job in playing Uncle Rajaguru character.

Story is very simple, a comic king played like a puppet in uncle Rajaguru’s hands, sincerely obey’s the British, at one point of time Ukraputhan who is a Nalanada return turns into an extremist and fights for the kingdom against British, by swapping places with brother and brings back the kingdom under his control.

But the bottom line of this movie is "COMEDY" which was handled in a very decent manner. The 'womanizer pulikesi' is extremely good. Dialogue delivery and timing jokes are much appreciated. On the other hand Ukraputhan is quite serious and romantic.

The movie will be a non-stop joyride for Vadivelu fans and definitely a must watch on a stressful day. On the whole the movie was well made and truly practical in sense. I would rate this movie as 4 out of 5.
